Ram, now as a brand rather than name, has introduced today its new line of business for the job. Under the platform 3500, 4500 and 5500 are now available Chassis Cab.
Basically what Ram has done is to take its most famous pick-up (who gave his name to the new brand) in their larger versions: 3500, 4500 and 5500, and stripped of the traditional dish, to make naked studs chassis.
Configured this way, the Ram will be a good ally for many jobs, because you can install all kinds of artifacts or additional body. Additionally, there are three versions available that are differentiated by their size, weight and load capacity, and three types of finish: SL, SLT and Laramie.
The simplest is resigned to the power steering and air conditioning as standard equipment, while the Laramie is clearly the most luxurious. There are two engines available, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 383 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque, or an 8-cylinder Cummins diesel 6.2L with 305 HP and 610 lb-ft of torque. Can be selected with a manual or automatic, both 6-speed. You can also choose between 4×2 or 4×4 drive gearbox.
